Welcome to the Mechanic Falls Homepage
Town Office.jpg

Mechanic Falls is about 11 square miles in size, is 10 miles west of Lewiston / Auburn, and 10 miles southeast of Oxford Hills.

A town of 3,138  residents, Mechanic Falls lies along the bank of the Little Androscoggin. It was incorporated in 1893, and used to be a thriving mill community.

During the 1980's, the final mill closed and the town struggled economically.

Through the 1990's, though, Mechanic Falls experienced something of a renaissance and has undergone a dramatic renewal.

We invite you to visit, live and do business in our town. It is a tight-knit community that offers friendship, safety and opportunity.
